Questions
BOOKING
Q. When Should I Book?
A. We turn away many weddings each year simply because we are already booked for a particular date! You should not wait! I have booked weddings as far as 24 months out and some even before the proposal! Its never too soon! If you have not already, fill out the contact form now! or give me a call, 910-665-9801. If there is no answer please leave a message I will get back to you as soon as possible, usually that same day!
Q. What is required to book my wedding?
A. This depends on location and travel but generally speaking a $2,000 deposit and a signed contract. This will officially hold your date!
STYLE
Q. What will it be like working with you?
A. One the wedding day…. It is my priority that you are able to be present. Present for cocktail hour, present for friends and family, present mentally. So I have many tricks up my sleeve to accomplish this while at the same time delivering stunning imagery! You can be sure I will take your wishes seriously as well as the timeline seriously. You will hardly know I am there! Leading up to the wedding… You don’t want to have issues getting responses from your wedding vendors. I am easily accessible, I am available via email or phone or in person as much as you need me! Customer service is another one of my top priorities! Want proof? Read my reviews on Wedding Wire. I believe one of the most important things about a stress free lovely wedding process is how you feel when you work with me! Before, during and after your wedding. You are my priority, your comfort and happiness in my presence and with my business is one of the things Theo Milo Photography is grounded on. I am a human being first, business person second. Honesty, professionalism and going the extra mile for you, whatever that looks like, is what I am committed to. As much art as goes into creating the images you will keep forever, also goes into creating a start to finish experience that you will enjoy, feel valued by and want to share with your friends!
Q. What if I dont know how to pose?
You don’t have to worry about a thing! Most of my couples are not models and many of them feel the same way. Think of if like coaching. I will not be picking at you or pulling you in odd directions. I will seamlessly direct you both in a way that feels natural and care free. “Lets walk over here” or “give a quick look back to me” . These are some of the types of coaching you can expect!
FILM & DIGITAL
Q. Do you shoot on film?
A. Yes, I do offer film coverage. Film coverage consists of a combination of 35mm and/or medium format. If you have ever held a print that was photographed on medium format film then you know the difference! There is a life to film shots that digital just can't quite capture.
PORTFOLIO
Q. Where can I see more of your work?
A. Simply visit the “Recent Work” tab at the top. The blog is designed for you to stay up to date with my current work and see more form each wedding and the locations I have worked. The portfolio section here is a collection of my favorite shots and good gauge on my style. There are many more moments and candid images you can expect from a full wedding day though, there just isn't enough room in the portfolio section to show them all!
COVERAGE
Q. What kind of coverage to you offer?
A. All collections include at least 7hrs of wedding day coverage, online contract completion (this means no snail mail for contracts!), a website for viewing and sharing your images, and the rights to your hi-res images on USB (that means you get all your wedding day images to keep, print ready!). You will have the opportunity to customize your collection to include the the perfect add-ons for your day, like an engagement session, album credits, prints, additional hours of coverage, ect. Custom pricing or collections are welcome also.
TIMING
Q. How long will it take to see my images after the wedding?
A. We always send a handful of images within a couple days! For the full gallery..on average your images will be ready 4 weeks after the wedding! Sometimes even sooner! It simply depends on the time of year. May and June weddings along with September and October weddings take a little longer to turn around because of the amount of weddings that take place in these months. Getting your images to you in a timely and professional manner is one of my top priorities! We take great care to edit your images in the most flattering way as well. This means we take a little extra time to complete them.
EDITING
Q. What is your post production or editing like?
There are two sides to eating, emotional and physical/technical. One important thing to remember is…the “moment” represented in each photograph is what good photography is all about. A great photographer sees what others do not. In our line of work, that means the subtle smile, the before and after a kiss, the in-betweens… these are incredible, beautiful things. Look around, you will see many people post things that if you really just look in the eyes or closely at the picture, it doest have that “_____”… that something. The ability to not only see these moments but to pick them out of a line up of several similar images is one thing I can do better them most. So it is with the actual technical side of editing. As you can see, my images are first and foremost authentic. So my approach to post production is the same. We will “clean up” the images by color correction, cropping, spot/blemish removal, stray hair fixes, etc. In fact, we also edit other photographers images. Our superior knowledge of post production systems and software and techniques is one of the reasons we are so sought after. The general idea is, if aren’t going to like the way you look in a photo, then we fix it.
SECURITY
Q. How do I know my images are safe?
A. I take protecting your images VERY seriously! My camera has two memory cards that backs up every single image automatically. I bring multiple cameras to the day. Once your images get back to the studio, they go into a fire proof safe AND get backed up across several hard drives. Your memories couldn't be safer.
Q. Do you have back up equipment?
A. Yes. We carry back up cameras, lenses, lighting, batteries, and memory cards to every wedding.
PAYMENT
Q. When are payments due?
A. We ask for your final payment is due 14 days prior to your wedding. You may send in other payments whenever you want but we cannot release any photos until all payments are up to date.
